What kind of a girl joins Girl Scouting?

Girls who want to take action!
…Who see a problem in their community and help fix it.

Girls who want to make their dreams a reality!
…Who take trips to places others only dream of visiting.

Girls who want to create a circle of friends who will never let them down!
…Who opens their hearts to new friendships.

Girls who won't let opportunity pass them by!
…Who are willing to direct a play, star in their own music video, experience adventures in science and technology, practice a new sport, plan a party, protect a stream, design a jewelry collection, and won't limit herself or others.

Girls who want to make their own choices!
…Who want to distinguish who they are and to define their short- and long-term goals.

Every Girl - Everywhere!
…Girl Scouts can't be stereotyped. We include girls from many walks of life, such as girls from diverse racial, ethnic and religious groups; who have different family arrangements; and who come from urban, suburban and rural areas across the country. We have different interests, different abilities and learn to appreciate these differences.

Girls can join troops with other girls their own age or they can take advantage of Girl Scout program (such as camping, service projects, leadership training, or a variety of other activities) by participating as a "Juliette" - or individually registered member. Girl Scouting is available to all girls - not matter how demanding their schedules -- because we know that these opportunities cannot be found anywhere else.
